01Breaking01

Breaking

Breaking the bamboo tube into pieces, usually about 20mm in width.

Removing the Green Layer and Yellow Layer

Removing the green layer: removing the green colored bamboo skin on the outer layer of bamboo slices with a paring knife or machine, as it has high sugar content and is prone to insects.
Removing the yellow layer: Remove the inner yellow flesh of bamboo slices and keep the middle part because of its uniform density and high strength.

03Sorting bamboo strips01

Sorting Bamboo Strips

Workers feed bamboo strips into the machine and the machine sorts and selects the strips according to their size.

Steaming or Charring

Steaming: Put the bamboo slices into the steaming pool and steam them at high temperature for 2-3 hours to remove sugar and starch and prevent insects and mold.
Charring: Put the bamboo slices into the charring furnace and treat them at high temperature (about 140℃-160℃) to darken the color of the bamboo slices and at the same time to enhance the performance of anti-insect and anti-corrosion.

05Drying01

Drying

Put the bamboo slices after steaming or charring into the drying room, control the temperature at 60℃-80℃ and dry them until the moisture content is between 8%-12% to prevent deformation in the later stage.

Hot Pressing

The bamboo pieces after forming blanks are put into the hot press and pressed under high temperature (about 120℃-140℃) and high pressure (about 300 tons) for 20-30 minutes to make the bamboo pieces close together.

07Sanding01

Sanding

The surface of the floor is sanded and polished to make it smooth.

Cutting

Large bamboo panels are cut into standard flooring sizes, common specifications are 900mm x 90mm x 15mm or 1200mm x 120mm x 15mm.

09Grooving01

Grooving

Cut tongue-and-groove and tongue-and-groove grooves on all four sides of the floor with a grooving machine to facilitate splicing during installation.

Trimming

Smoothing the edges of the board to make them even.
10Trimming01
11Coating Process01

Coating Process

Primer Application: A layer of primer is applied first to fill the tiny pores on the bamboo surface, ensuring a smooth and even base.
Topcoat Application: 2-3 layers of UV coating or water-based paint are applied to enhance wear resistance and glossiness.
Curing: The coating is rapidly hardened using UV curing equipment, ensuring a durable and high-quality finish.

Shipment Measurement

Size check: Measure the length, width and thickness of the flooring with calipers to make sure it meets the standards.

13Measuring the Moisture Content of Bamboo02

Measuring the Moisture Content of Bamboo

Measurement of the moisture content of bamboo by means of a moisture meter.

Appearance Check

Check the surface of the floor for cracks, color differences, bubbles and other defects.

15Packaging reinforcement01

Packaging Reinforcement

Wrap the inspected flooring with moisture-proof paper or plastic film to prevent moisture.
Each package of flooring usually contains 10-20 pieces, and the outer packaging is made of cartons or wooden boxes.
