1. Is Northern Climate Unsuitable for Bamboo Flooring?

Bamboo flooring manufacturers have fully considered the drier climate characteristic of northern regions. They've meticulously controlled the moisture content of bamboo flooring to be quite low. Furthermore, both sides and all four edges of the bamboo planks are coated, making them less susceptible to changes in air humidity. Therefore, bamboo flooring is perfectly suitable for use in northern China. In fact, large quantities of bamboo flooring are exported to Europe and North America, demonstrating its adaptability to various climate conditions.

2. Is Bamboo Flooring Prone to Cracking and Warping?

Like engineered wood flooring, bamboo flooring is bonded with water-resistant adhesives under high temperature and pressure. The resulting bond strength is substantial, easily withstanding general loads and the stresses caused by changes in temperature and humidity.

3. Is Bamboo Flooring Susceptible to Pests and Mold?

The older the bamboo, the less it contains of nutrient-rich substances like sugars, starches, amino acids, and proteins. For this reason, bamboo over five years old is typically chosen as raw material for production. After the bamboo strips are prepared, they undergo repeated high-temperature and high-pressure treatment during the carbonization process and again when the bamboo strips are hot-pressed into planks. This process depletes the bamboo of nutrients and thoroughly eliminates any insects or their eggs.
